“Dave” has come a long way. Imagine it’s early 2020. You’re walking down the street, and towering above you is the billboard for “Dave” Season 1 — the one where Dave Burd, aka Lil Dicky, is popping out of the fly. A passing pedestrian sees you staring and says, “In just a few years, that show is going to bring you to tears.” Would you chuckle? Ignore them? Look over your shoulder as you speed-walk away, making sure the weirdo isn’t following you?...

For the uninitiated who have only peeked at the game’s cover art or various screenshots, that’s all probably a bit confusing. The original “Doki Doki Literature Club” marketed itself as a stereotypical cutesy anime dating simulator; you play as a faceless high school otaku who is coerced by his bubbly childhood friend into joining the school’s small Literature Club. Your character doesn’t have an interest in literature, but he does want a girlfriend, and the Literature Club is populated by a quartet of cute anime women who take an inexplicable liking to the protagonist....

Once again employing the reverse home invasion tale, one in which the invaders hardly live long enough to wholly regret their choices, “Don’t Breathe 2” is another satisfyingly suspenseful riff on the classic trope. The movie’s grotesque twists may illicit more groans than gasps, but its slight sense of humor betrays a winking self-awareness. Alvarez, along with co-writer and director Rodo Sayagues, proves once again they know what genre lovers want — at least, a certain type of genre lover....

The Daily Beast previously reported an exposé citing background actors’ claiming the Season 2 set was toxic and led to multiple SAG-AFTRA union complaints “over the production failing to provide them meals on time and refusing to let people use the bathroom,” as well as a lack of a proper holding area for extras. Per unnamed sources, “there were so many complaints called into SAG-AFTRA that a union rep turned up to set....

The Zendaya-helmed ensemble cast behind the hit HBO series cemented “Euphoria” as the network’s second-most-watched show since 2004 behind only “Game of Thrones,” as WarnerMedia reported. The Season 2 finale marked a series high with 6.6 million viewers. According to HBO, “Euphoria” Season 2 episodes are now averaging 16.3 million viewers. To date, the second-season premiere’s viewership has approached 19 million viewers in the U.S., with the per-episode-viewership average up nearly 100 percent from the first season with just the first four episodes of Season 2....
