Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) almost had an entirely different love story in HBO Max’s “And Just Like That.” The “Sex and the City” revival series was originally supposed to feature Miranda falling for her professor, Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman), but Nixon scrapped the idea to showrunner and executive producer Michael Patrick King. “Originally, when Michael was sort of trying to think about what would happen in our season, he talked about Nya, Miranda’s professor, being the romantic relationship,” Nixon said in the “And Just Like That” documentary (via Insider), released February 3....

And in a recent interview with The New York Times director Lee was asked about how he felt about the film being snubbed at the recent Golden Globes. “Well, I would say that I had an inkling that history would be repeated with ‘Green Book.’ And I’ve never really paid much attention to Golden Globes, so…,” said Lee. Lee’s comment brings up the recent news reveal that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which gives out the Golden Globe awards, has not had a Black member in over two decades....

The “Obi-Wan Kenobi” star was set to replace Johnny Depp in Terry Gilliam’s long-awaited “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote” about an advertising executive who travels back in time to 17th-century Spain where he meets the real Quixote. The first attempt at the film, starring Depp, was over-budget, with Gilliam saying at the time that he was “relieved” it fell apart. Now, McGregor told GQ about the time the director Gilliam approached him in 2010 to lead the script that was 20 years in the making....

That it took this long to get to this point might be the single greatest factor holding “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” back from being a really great limited series....
