Tessa Thompson Critics Defend Cuties Upset D By Netflix Marketing
Netflix issued an apology for its marketing of the film in an August 20 statement, saying, “We’re deeply sorry for the inappropriate artwork that we used for ‘Mignonnes’/’Cuties.’ It was not ok, nor was it representative of this French film which won an award at Sundance. We’ve now updated the pictures and description.” But the Netflix apology hasn’t stopped the escalating outrage against the film.
