(WBD didn’t see that coming?) All in, it’s probably a win for “Aquaman”; the FX could probably use the extra nine months and it gets a higher-profile new date. The former “Aquaman” date has attractions for “Shazam.” It covers some school vacations (though Easter weekend is the weeks later) and gains full access to IMAX screens....
Where to Watch “Astronomy Club”: Netflix Watching “Astronomy Club” is a little like getting a sketch comedy syllabus. In the best possible way, a group of eight comedians manages to tick the boxes of everything you might expect from the show. Over six Netflix episodes, they fill out a collection of original songs, impressions, fake trailers, celebrity cameos, and even an absurdist spin on a holiday treat. What ends up making these episodes really work, though, is the “reality show” framework that these are all built around....
FX Networks and FX Productions chairman John Landgraf stated in a press conference on Wednesday that the “Atlanta” team aims to resume production in early 2021. The season would be released later in the year, though a specific release date was not provided. There is a silver lining: Landgraf said the writers on “Atlanta” have been productive throughout the last few months and have written the entirety of the show’s upcoming third and fourth seasons....
“I pick what I want to get out of the scene,” the “When They See Us” director told InStyle as the magazine’s March cover star. “And through music, color, performance, and words, I’m able to manufacture and change how you think. I can be in your head, and I love it.” DuVernay, whose films have ranged from “A Wrinkle in Time” to “Selma,” jokingly warned fans that they might want to think twice about joining her on set....
B.J. Novak is waiting for the message of “Vengeance” to be made obsolete. While the filmmaker’s feature directorial debut, a Shakespearian story of revenge, is rife with Quentin Tarantino references, Woody Allen-esque banter, and a nod to Jordan Peele’s masterful transcendence of genre, writer-director Novak wondered if its message of a divided America would eventually be irrelevant. Sadly, the opposite seems to be true. “Vengeance” stars as Novak as Ben Manalowitz, a New Yorker journalist looking to launch a podcast with a multi-hyphenate producer, played by Issa Rae....
