“Away” centers on the Green/Logan family. Emma Green (played by Hilary Swank) is a former Navy pilot who’s been chosen as commander for the first manned mission to Mars. Her husband, Matt Logan (Josh Charles), is a former astronaut turned NASA engineer who will be serving as mission control for the landmark excursion, while caring for their 15-year-old daughter, Alexis (Talitha Bateman), at home. His familial assignment becomes all the more complicated by a surprising accident during the pilot, but it’s best to keep that unspoiled (and, oddly, it doesn’t end up feeling that meaningful to the overall narrative)....

“Descendant” tells the story of a search to find the remains of the last slave ship to arrive in America, named the Clotilda. While the ship was burned outside of Africatown, Alabama in 1860, many descendents of the people forcibly brought over from Africa still live in the area. Margaret Brown’s documentary focuses on telling the stories of those families, using the search for the shipwreck as a catalyst to examine the deeply rooted traumatic effects of slavery in America....

In addition to the planned revival of the television series, which has already been given a two-season order, Paramount+ is gearing up to release a second movie, “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe.” The film was written, directed, and produced by Judge, who also voices the eponymous characters. While the initial film was a road trip comedy that spanned the United States of America, Judge’s sequel has even bigger aims, taking the characters to outer space and beyond....
