Partial Transcript Below: Harjo on the show’s, and his own, richly dark humor: I’m a big fan of Hal Ashby and you know, these films that walk that line [between comedy and dark comedy]. And I talked about that a lot. I think it’s naturally there, you know, like I think that that is an Indigenous Native sense of humor, which is humor that is about survival, always budding up against tragedy and drama....

The experience begins with reconnaissance scout and unreliable avatar Selene Vassos crashing into the swamps of a forbidden planet. She appears to have gone rogue in pursuit of a signal called “The White Shadow,” and the initial jolt of recognition trills up your spine just a few seconds after she crawls out of the wreckage as players take their first hesitant steps through the first of the game’s six massive biomes....

“Scenes From a Marriage” is an adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s 1973 miniseries of the same name. The series transports the ’70s-set story of the Swedish original to modern day America. Chastain and Isaac embody the roles originated by Liv Ullmann and Erland Josephson, respectively, who played an affluent married couple whose marriage is charted across a decade, from disintegration to reconciliation and back. The nearly two-minute trailer gives viewers a pretty solid foundation of the premise....

On Sunday, the studio debuted the first trailer for “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” during its San Diego Comic-Con program inside the prestigious Hall H exhibition room. While DC Comics fans got a teaser of the film at FanDome last year, this year viewers actually got to see the film’s two antagonists, Hespera and Calypso in action. The sinister godly duo are respectively played by icon Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu, with the former having a showdown with Shazam and pissed that all these new kids have the power of the gods and the latter summoning a dragon....

It’s hard to imagine any metal band ever had as much to be angry about as Slave to Sirens, the unlikely subjects of Rita Baghdadi’s dynamic new documentary “Sirens.” Based in the outskirts of Beirut, it’s safe to say the five-woman thrash metal band is the first of its kind in Lebanon, let alone the Middle East. Even if you’re not a huge metal fan, you can’t help but bop to the screeching vocals and thrumming guitar riffs, if not in pleasure then in amazement at the sheer moxie of these young radicals....

“Out of an abundance of caution, production of ‘Snowpiercer’ wrapped early yesterday and was suspended for today due to extreme heat on location,” said a spokesperson for Tomorrow Studios, which produces the show. “The health and well-being of show cast and crew remains top priority.” Many were quick to point out the irony of a show about people affected by extreme climate change being shut down over extreme climate change. “Snowpiercer” takes place in a future Ice Age, and the heavy winter clothing that the actors have to wear only made the heat conditions more dangerous....

“Spider-Man” is #1 again for the fifth week on all three charts we follow, an unprecedented achievement and one that “The Batman” will not repeat. It’s the top-grossing film of 2022, but at $365 million that’s less than half of Marvel’s 2021 monster hit. “The Batman” also has more competition, and not just from upcoming releases like “Uncharted” and “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” Its biggest competition is itself: Warners announced last week that the film would debut on HBO Max April 18....
