David E. Kelley’s Hulu drama, based on the novel by “Big Little Lies” author Liane Moriarty, looks like it’s headed for a Season 2 based on its category submissions for the 2022 Primetime Emmys. Hulu confirmed to IndieWire that “Nine Perfect Strangers” will be submitted in the Drama categories at the Emmys rather than under the Limited Series banner. If history tells us anything, this means more “Nine Perfect” will be on the way....

The wry opening scene introduces Médéric (Jean Charles Clichet), an unattached thirtysomething who lives in Clermont-Ferrand in central France. The gray, rainy town is presented as being resolutely ordinary, and so is Médéric, a freelance computer programmer who is always either sucking on his e-cigarette or jogging up and down the hilly streets in unflattering running gear. He isn’t wholly conventional, though. After a moment’s hesitation, he marches up to a fiftysomething prostitute (Noémie Lvovsky) and announces that he wants to have coffee with her....

Jordan Peele’s third film “Nope,” following his Oscar-winning 2018 directorial debut “Get Out” and 2019’s “Us,” finally seemed to reveal its plot in the latest trailer. After haunting teasers and much debate over what exactly “Nope” means, the summary of the film has been unveiled ahead of its July 22 theatrical release. Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer star as brother-sister duo James and Jill Haywood, who run Hollywood’s only Black-owned horse ranch....

The film follows “a young New York mother faced with sudden doubts about her marriage [who] teams up with her larger-than-life playboy father to tail her husband.” Billed as “a sparkling comic adventure across the city — drawing father and daughter closer together despite one detour after another,” the film will see Coppola gamely tackling a “blend of an exuberant love letter to New York, a generation-clash comedy about how we see relationships differently from our parents, and a funny celebration of the complications that bind modern families even as they tie us in crazy knots....

The Prime Video series debuts on April 15 and stars Josh Brolin as Royal Abbott, the patriarch of a ranching family in the Wyoming wilderness. As Royal muses about his “dream life” with his family, mysterious drifter Autumn (Imogen Poots) arrives to discover the true meaning behind her spiritual connection to the Abbott ranch. Yet a sinkhole forms in the Abbotts’ field and a haunting recurring symbol plagues the family, now pushed to find their faith tested amid paranormal experiences....

Netflix’s “Ozark” Season 4 has officially revealed a first look at Part 2, where the Byrde family saga will finally come to an end — maybe for better, but almost certainly for worse. Netflix has also announced that the final seven episodes of Season 4 will drop on the platform April 29. The first part of Season 4 notched 77 million hours of viewing in its first three days of release earlier this year....
