It’s that a growing number of artists and bands with spots on network talk shows are slowly figuring out a new form that exists somewhere between concert and music video. Of course, that’s a line that was pushed well before last spring. (Take Spike Jonze’s live-to-tape video for Karen O & Danger Mouse’s “Woman” or Travis Scott’s euphoric “goosebumps” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”) But what used to be a rare occurence has inched a lot closer towards the norm....
Writer-producer David Graziano, who oversees the hit NBC series, was at the center of a Los Angeles Times report alleging a toxic workplace environment. More than a dozen people accused Graziano of mistreating colleagues, making inappropriate comments towards women and people of color, and having a bad temper. Allegations against Graziano cite events spanning over a decade. The exposé was published the same day as “SVU” star Kelli Giddish’s final episode aired, with Giddish’s exit rumored to be due to salary disputes with series creator Dick Wolf....
Based on Henry Lawson’s 1892 short story “The Drover’s Wife,” the film stars writer-director Leah Purcell in the titular role, now given a name and not just a moniker. A pregnant Molly (Purcell) tries to protect her children while her husband is away droving sheep in the high country. When Molly is confronted by an enslaved Aboriginal fugitive named Yadaka (Rob Collins), her own true identity is revealed. The town sheriff becomes suspicious of Molly as a string of murders plagues their Australian town: Could Molly or Yadaka be a serial killer?...

Rumors have the solution to that breach being to preserve ‘Dune’ as a traditional theatrical to preserve its franchise potential and since its October 1 release date falls well after the estimated late spring date when Covid vaccines should achieve herd immunity....
Clearly the LFCC, a group of 160 critics, adores smart horror flick “Saint Maud,” which won Breakthrough British or Irish Filmmaker for Rose Glass, and Best British or Irish Actress for Morfydd Clark (who beat Carey Mulligan in “Promising Young Woman”). But the London critics gave three top awards to American road movie “Nomadland,” which won Best Film and Screenplay for Chloé Zhao, and Actress for Frances McDormand. Best British or Irish Actor Riz Ahmed won for two independent films, “Sound of Metal” and “Mogul Mowgli....
Hulu unveiled the release date for its upcoming Patton Oswalt-led animated Marvel series during its presentation at the Television Critics Association Winter 2021 Press Tour on Thursday. All 10 episodes of the series, which marks one of Marvel’s few shows to center on a supervillain, will premiere on Hulu on May 21. Per Hulu, the series will center on “M.O.D.O.K.,” a megalomaniacal supervillain who has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world....
