While the first teaser for the upcoming HBO series “The Idol” left us salivating for another taste, the wild and latest look at the series starring Abel Makkonen Tesfaye aka The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp only leaves us wanting more. The limited series co-created by “Euphoria” showrunner Sam Levinson, lead star Tesfaye, and Reza Fahim. Depp stars as a budding singer who falls under the sway of a Los Angeles self-help guru turned pop star (Tesfaye)....

Starring Matt Damon, Jodie Comer, Adam Driver, and Ben Affleck, “The Last Duel” takes place during the Hundred Years’ War in 14th century France. The film dramatizes the last legally-sanctioned duel in France’s history, which took place between the knight Jean de Carrouges (Damon) and his best friend and squire Jacques Le Gris (Driver). The former accused the latter of raping his wife, Marguerite de Thibouville (Comer). After the theaters closed, it moved to Roadside partner Lionsgate, which has a dedicated VOD division....

“The Suicide Squad” is a standalone sequel to David Ayer’s 2016 movie “Suicide Squad,” which is memorable for introducing Robbie’s fan-favorite turn as Harley Quinn. While Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” was a box-office blockbuster that earned more than $740 million worldwide, the film received critical pans across the board, and was one of the worst-reviewed films of 2016. While Gunn is carrying over some of the same characters from Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” (Robbie’s Harley, Courtney’s Boomerang, Davis’ Amanda Waller, and Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag), he’s expected to start from scratch when it comes to story and tone....

The drama begins when Ed (De Niro as the titular Grandpa) is forced by his well-meaning daughter Sally (Uma Thurman) to move in with her family after an incident of grocery store rage ends with him assaulting a Black security guard. (One of the two Black people who speak in the film, both of whom are service workers.) Displaced from his very lovely room into the equally as private but somewhat leaky attic, his grandson Peter (Oakes Fegley) decides to make Grandpa’s life a living hell in order to convince him into switching rooms with him....
