Johnny Depp Amber Heard Trial Jurors Dozed Off During Testimony

Court stenographer Judy Bellinger said that she observed certain jurors “dozing off” during the lengthy depositions and testimonies. “It was tough,” Bellinger told the Law & Crime Network that televised the trial. “There was a lot of video deposition, and they’d just sit there and, all of a sudden, I’d see their heads drop.” However, Bellinger assured that the majority of the jury was “very intent” and “listening intently” over the course of the trial, but “unfortunately, when the jury was chosen, we knew there were going to be some that wouldn’t see it all the way through....

Kaitlin Olson Is Ready To Get Serious About Her Emmy Nomination

This is the central truth of Quibi’s short-form comedy “Flipped,” which features Kaitlin Olson and Will Forte as a slightly-delusional couple whose dreams of becoming the next Chip and Joanna Gaines results in them running afoul of a drug cartel. The series, like so many of Quibi’s shows, boasts a host of Hollywood luminaries, including Arturo Castro, Andy Garcia, and Eva Longoria, but in a cast littered with stars, it’s Olson (and Cricket) that shine brightest....

Let Him Go Review Kevin Costner Diane Lane Carry A Revenge Western

Thomas Bezucha’s “Let Him Go” doesn’t have that problem. Adapted from the Larry Watson novel of the same name, this terse and simple Western thriller casts Costner and Lane as a retired couple in early ’60s Montana whose marriage is tested at a time when America’s aspirational self-image is about to be undone by the tribalism of its design. Here is a tanned hide of a movie about the violence that results from conflicting ideas of what this country should be, and while the writer/director of “The Family Stone” lacks the chops to tell this story with the suspense it demands (or the hard-nosed focus required to mine something new from the myth it deconstructs), he fully understands the symbolic power of seeing these actors lose something they can never get back....

Love And Anarchy Netflix Swedish Show Is More Than An Office Romance

Where to Watch ‘Love & Anarchy’: Netflix If you took out all the flirting from “Love & Anarchy” (though why on earth would you ever do such a thing), what’s left is still a pretty solid workplace comedy. A Stockholm-area publishing house has its share of backward-facing execs, eminently more capable employees lower on the organizational chart, and one receptionist/secretary often baffled by what plays out in front of her desk....
