The 71st Berlin International Film Festival is set to take place care of two different events in the coming months: the “Industry Event” from March 1 to 5, which will include the European Film Market (EFM), the Berlinale Co-Production Market, the Berlinale Talents, and the World Cinema Fund in online forms, which will then be followed by the June-set “Summer Special” with numerous film presentations in Berlin, both at indoor and outdoor cinemas....

Between “Spider-Man: No Way Home” arriving in theaters on Thursday, new episodes of “Hawkeye” and must-haves like “The Story of Marvel Studios,” it’s a great time to be a Marvel fan. This year alone, Disney+ has debuted “WandaVision,” “Loki,” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” along with other Marvel spinoff series, and there’s even more on the way; “Moon Knight,” “Ms. Marvel,” “Secret Invasion,” and “She-Hulk” are just some of the Marvel shows slated to arrive on the platform in 2022....

After “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley” was announced earlier this year with Murphy reprising his titular role of Detroit detective turned L.A. police officer Axel Foley, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser and Bronson Pinchot will now reprise their respective roles for the fourth film installment. While plot details for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley” have been mostly kept under wraps, it is rumored to follow Axel (Murphy) returning to Beverly Hills to look into the death of an old friend while uncovering police corruption within the force....

Unlike theater grosses, “Black Widow” PVOD revenues represent a 100 percent return to the studio. Rival studios suggest that the domestic portion ranged between 67-80 percent. On that basis, Disney would have so far earned more from PVOD than in theaters. (That’s take-home, not gross.) A single weekend’s performance is not the final word for movies, theaters, or even Disney, but it suggests major implications for all concerned. Another indication that PVOD remains a lucrative alternative to theaters is the strategy for home availability of “A Quiet Place Part II” which drops Tuesday — as planned, 45 days after its very successful theatrical release — on Paramount+....

Denis adapts Christine Angot’s 2018 novel “Un tournant de la vie,” about a romantic entanglement spiraling out of control. Star Binoche does a complete 180 on the searching idealist she played in Denis’ 2017 “Let the Sunshine In,” here as radio journalist Sara. She’s been in a passionate, loving, and stable relationship with her ex-con boyfriend Jean (Vincent Lindon) for ten years (and Denis’ camera doesn’t flinch at the bodily particulars of their lusty vigor)....

So, you watched Season 1 of “Bridgerton” and now you’re hungry for more Regency romance in your life? While you wait for Season 2 to arrive, the best place to start, would be Julia Quinn’s series of eight novels upon which the Netflix hit is based. The eight books, which came out between 2000 and 2006 and have sold millions of copies in the U.S. alone, focus on the romantic lives of the well-off (and well-intentioned) Bridgerton siblings (yes, there are eight of them, with each one getting his or her own book)....

Tatum co-directed “Dog” with his longtime writing and producing partner Reid Carolin, and the pair have made a surprisingly touching and thoughtful look at a broken man rediscovering himself through an unlikely canine connection. Tatum plays U.S. army ranger Briggs, who’s tasked with driving a military working dog from Washington to Arizona so it can attend its handler’s funeral. A washed-up guy with PTSD, Briggs is a fascinating contradiction who wrestles with his softer side as his growing animal bond forces him to open up, even as he knows that the army expects to euthanize the animal upon its return....
