One of the sweeter, goofier elements of a “Succession” season mired in a quagmire of delusion and dysfunction has been the budding romance — which is to say, a largely one-sided fixation — of the Roy family’s favorite bumbling, outsider cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun) and Comfry (Dasha Nekrasova), one of Kendall’s (Jeremy Strong) public relations reps. Things between the two took a huge step forward in the most recent episode of “Succession,” “Too Much Birthday,” but first, let’s review....

In 2019, there was only one “but” that broke the internet and it belonged to Kendall Roy. The crux of “Succession” Season 2 hinged on a single word, uttered by Jeremy Strong in the finale, during a speech delivered at a press conference which saw Logan Roy (Brian Cox), patriarch of the Roy family and head of the Waystar Royco empire, thrown neatly under the bus by his (second) eldest son....

“It was a problem that we were dealt from the very beginning because of the way the script’s written and the way time passes and having so little time at night to shoot with minors,” Cronenweth said. “But I was amazed at the amount of time we had at dusk once the sun shadows had become soft enough or dropped below the horizon line.” He proposed turning night to dusk since so many of the scenes took place in a forest, which gave more depth to the trees to be lit from behind....

”There’s a difference between suspense and terror,” Tarantino said. “Suspense is what’s going to happen. Terror is [when] you’re afraid you know exactly what’s going to happen and you don’t want to see it. You think the worst.” While Tarantino believes Demme’s “Silence of the Lambs” sequence is “magnificent,” he argued classifying the climax as “terror” would be incorrect. For Tarantino, the sequence falls into the “suspense” category as the viewer always knows what’s going to happen....

“Hey ‘Ginny & Georgia,’ 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back,” Swift wrote. “How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as [funny]. Also, Netflix, after ‘Miss Americana’ this outfit doesn’t look cute on you…Happy Women’s History Month I guess.” Swift has a history with Netflix, as the streaming giant was the exclusive home to her 2019 concert movie “Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour....

There’s lots of caveats here: About 70 percent of theaters are open in the U.S., but the top-grossing locations in New York and Los Angeles remain closed. This weekend didn’t have a holiday attached, and since “Tenet” played for four days (including Thursday with full shows) before the weekend, that would likely reduce the first weekend’s total. The best news is that Warners reports that among the five top grosses for “Tenet,” four were in newly reopened areas....

Zoe Lister-Jones’ “The Craft: Legacy” wears its affection and appreciation for the first film on its bedazzled sleeves, while making the case for the newly minted series to continue in a very different era than the one in which it was conceived. Lister-Jones’ callbacks to Fleming’s original come in a variety of forms, from winking nods to iconic lines and scenes (fans of that “We are the weirdos, mister” moment and the best game of “Light as a Feather, Stiff as Board” ever played will not be disappointed) to a firm handle on the original’s more complex emotions and interpersonal relationships....
