The role of Tom is the latest example of Macfadyen carving out a career as a character actor after early lead roles such as Mr. Darcy opposite Keira Knightley in 2005’s “Pride & Prejudice.” While his starring role in Joe Wright’s Jane Austen adaptation was the most high-profile moment of his career at the time, it brought the actor a great deal of stress. And in a new interview with Vanity Fair, Macfadyen opened up about the toll the part took on him....

A source tells IndieWire that Metrograph management scrapped the Q&A out of concern that ongoing claims of labor issues at the lower Manhattan arthouse would overshadow the movie if the floor was opened up to the audience. The status of another Q&A for a Monday evening screening is yet to be determined, sources tell IndieWire. Directors Stewart Bird and Deborah Shaffer shared a joint statement with IndieWire, saying, “We recently heard rumors of a conflict between the management of the Metrograph Theater and their staff....

And yet even that doesn’t stop the film’s many (many) stars from shining on occasion, including both Keira Knightley and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as seeming adversaries who might have more in common than meets the eye, plus a radical Jessie Buckley and a pleasingly deranged Rhys Ifans (to say nothing of the amusingly off-kilter spin Kinnear puts on his role as the beloved comedian). All of them come together to deliver a slice of history that, despite its revolutionary roots, feels far too tame to deliver any sort of fresh messaging....

But when it came to visualizing “Moon Knight” through the costume design of Meghan Kasperlik (“Mare of Easttown,” “Watchmen”) and the cinematography of Gregory Middleton (“Game of Thrones”) and Andrew Droz Palermo (“The Green Knight”), the great challenge and opportunity was to convey DID through two distinct POVs. It was almost like making two shows: horror meets superhero. Isaac, who also serves as an executive producer, was a key collaborator....

But according to showrunner and star Lyonne, the biggest change to the show may not have happened between the first two seasons, but between her original pitch and the filming of Season 1. Speaking to EW about the new season, Lyonne reflected on her original treatment that she used to pitch the show to Netflix....

Bartha guest starred in a recent episode of “Edge of History,” which also features original cast member Harvey Keitel and stars Lisette Oliviera and Catherine Zeta-Jones. In an interview with Variety to discuss his appearance on the show, Bartha said that he thinks the film could happen, especially given the recent successes of Cage and the film’s primary producer Jerry Bruckheimer. “But listen, there is still hope for another movie,” Bartha said....
