A normal post-PVOD $14 price cut seems to have prompted a renewed surge of interest for Sony’s comedy update, which had previously hit #1 at a higher cost. That led it to topping the initial (and delayed — the film didn’t hit VOD until more than two months after it opened in theaters) release of Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci” (United Artists/$19.99). The latter may have timed its availability to coincide with Oscar nominations on Tuesday, when it is expected to score some key nods....

The songwriter was the subject of a bombshell Vanity Fair cover story, in which she accidentally revealed that she has a second child with Elon Musk. But for movie lovers, that may not even be the biggest news to come out of the article. Grimes also spoke about her love for Frank Herbert’s “Dune” books, and said that she had been dreaming of directing a film adaptation for years, joining Alejandro Jodorowsky on the list of artists with bold visions for “Dune” movies that they never saw realized....

“Wolves are important to Irish folklore,” Moore said. “They are associated with the countryside and with human transformation. As teenagers, both Scott and I were familiar with a story of the wolf people of Ossory. We borrowed [some of that mythology] but took our own artistic license. The wolf was seen as a person and a partner, an apex predator, rather than a monster, that we had to fight against, and that was really inspiring to us....

The book is officially titled “Hannibal Artbook” and comes from the publishing team at Printed in Blood. The book includes a 180-page collection of artwork inspired by “Hannibal,” with 150 pieces of art created exclusively for the release of the book. The collection also includes a foreword written by showrunner Bryan Fuller and an introduction written by series executive producer Martha Di Laurentiis. Despite fan interest in “Hannibal” remaining at an all time high, there has yet to be an announcement on a long-discussed fourth season of the canceled-too-soon serial killer drama....

Beginning his career as a theater and comic performer, Coltrane was a three-time BAFTA winner for his ’90s ITV drama series “Cracker.” After playing a memorable supporting role in the Pierce Brosnan Bond films “Goldeneye” and “The World is Not Enough,” he began his most well-remembered role in 2001, when he portrayed Hagrid in the first “Harry Potter” film. Coltrane appeared in all eight films in the series, and his portrayal of Hagrid won acclaim from fans....

The “My Policeman” director required stars Styles, Emma Corrin, and David Dawson to view a slew of films to prepare for queer love scenes onscreen. “As a gay man, I thought, if I’m going to direct this film, I do at least want to somehow make sure that — if I’m lucky enough to carry on living in another 10, 15, 20 years or so — I want to be able to look at the film constantly and go, ‘I did what I set out to do in terms of intimacy,’” Grandage told Entertainment Weekly....
