A year-in-the-life documentary that observes Eilish’s meteoric stardom in such extreme close-up that everything around her eventually fuzzes out of view, R.J. Cutler’s epic yet bracingly intimate “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry” knows that whatever makes its subject so fucking interesting is already self-evident to the people who hear themselves in her music. And it’s only because his film accepts that truth from the start — only because it doesn’t bend over backwards to bring their parents into the fold, or try to explain Eilish’s appeal to an audience who has never seen the world through those ocean eyes — that it’s able to smudge it into something big enough for anyone to appreciate....

“Black Widow” is directed by Cate Shortland, making it the first MCU movie tentpole to be solo-directed by a woman director. The Australian filmmaker is best known for movies such as “Somersault,” “Lore,” and “Berlin Syndrome.” The “Black Widow” script, credited to “WandaVision” showrunner Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, is set after the events of “Captain America: Civil War” and finds Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow on the run and heading to Russia to confront her past....

The “Breaking Bad” spinoff concludes later this year, and while Odenkirk described moving on from the role as “challenging,” he also admitted there is a sense of freedom to it. “I always used to scoff and roll my eyes at actors who say, ‘It’s so hard.’ Really? With his All-American good looks and easy winking charisma, some audience members may wonder where he’s been hiding since finishing a long run on the critically beloved ABC drama “Brothers & Sisters” in 2011. A recurring lead on a successful primetime show should have led to a flurry of offers, it certainly did for his onscreen partner Matthew Rhys. Though he’s reticent to point fingers and grateful to Hallmark for the steady work, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what happened....
