The iconic explosion sequence was removed, and instead a caption appeared onscreen: “Through the clue provided by Tyler, the police rapidly figured out the whole plan and arrested all criminals, successfully preventing the bomb from exploding,” the title card reads....

But Chapek also reiterated the three distribution options for films that will be released during the rest of the year. Among them is day-and-date theatrical and Disney+ PVOD. The biggest news may be that he declined to reveal how the company planned to release movies in 2022 and beyond, suggesting that the company’s future theatrical strategy hinges on the performance of upcoming titles like “Cruella,” “Black Widow,” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings....

The Academy Award nominee stars as Enzo Ferrari, the real-life former race car driver whose tumultuous marriage to Laura Ferrari, played by Penelope Cruz, leads to him betting it all on one last race. Michael Mann directs the biopic “Ferrari,” using a script co-written by Troy Kennedy Martin (“The Italian Job”). Four-time Oscar nominee Mann is also producing the film through his Moto Pictures alongside P.J. van Sandwijk and John Lesher, as well as John Friedberg, Lars Sylvest, Thorsten Schumacher, Gareth West and Thomas Hayslip with major support from producers Andrea Iervolino & Monika Bacardi and their production service company, ILBE, and are joined by executive producer, Niels Juul....

As reported by Deadline: “STX is stumping up around $25M for domestic rights in a deal cut with Euro producer-seller Anton and CAA Media Finance. Multiple streamers were in the hunt for the movie. STX will also take all of international from Anton, in a pact which values foreign at around $50M. Anton took the project to the virtual market where it garnered significant interest from indie buyers, but — as often happens on successful franchise fare — STX, which distributed the original movie, had a matching option and was happy to take the plunge....

This time, the action is set in Greece, where tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites his entourage of employees and friends to a private island, where in-group tensions quickly spiral into a murder for Blanc to solve....
