Netflix film “The Good Nurse” is helmed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Tobias Lindholm (“The Investigation”) and premieres in theaters October 19 and on Netflix October 26. “It was different than anything else that I have ever done because I have never filmed a scene from someone’s life as they observed me acting it,” Chastain told IndieWire at the film’s premiere....

Apple announced the premiere window, as well as a first look image (pictured above), of the series during its CTAM Winter 2021 Press Tour virtual presentation on Friday. A specific release date for the eight-episode limited series was not provided. Per Apple, the series will follow Lisey Landon (Julianne Moor) two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon (Clive Owen). A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind....

Netflix announced the that the straight-to-series order is inspired by the “front office” of the Los Angeles Lakers. The streaming service’s logline for the still-untitled series reads: The series is inspired by the personal and professional dynamic between the family owners and front office team that together run one of the most iconic franchises in all of sports: the Los Angeles Lakers. The workplace comedy follows fictional team governor Eliza Reed as she navigates NBA ownership and family drama with her best friend by her side....
