The events of the film are set in motion by the return of Kelly to the quiet Northern border town from which she abandoned her sister more than a year ago. Will Smith is hitting the road to promote his self-titled memoir, “Will,” released November 9. The book tour, “Will Smith: An Evening of Stories with Friends,” kicked off in Smith’s hometown of Philadelphia and will make stops in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. During Monday’s event, hosted by Queen Latifah and held at the Met Philly, Smith opened up about his journey from a West Philadelphia kid to a Grammy-winning rapper and Oscar-nominated actor....

Adapted from Miriam Toews’ acclaimed novel of the same name, “Women Talking” stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Frances McDormand, Ben Whishaw, and Judith Ivey. The film is set to make its international premiere at 2022 TIFF, followed by appearing in the NYFF Spotlight section. “Women Talking” centers on a group of women in an isolated religious colony who reconcile with their faith after a string of sexual assaults are committed by the colony’s men....

“‘Fountainhead’ right now is on the back burner,” he told the Times. “I don’t know how that movie gets made, at least not right away.” As to why he thinks it’s not happening, Snyder believed the political climate still isn’t right for the feature film. “We need a less divided country and a little more liberal government to make that movie, so people don’t react to it in a certain way....

“355” originally exploded with buzz when it was announced at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival market with stars Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o, Fan Bingbing, Marion Cotillard, and Penelope Cruz attached to star. Universal jumped on the project in a deal reportedly worth $20 million. Diane Kruger eventually replaced Cotillard and supporting actors Sebastian Stan and Édgar Ramírez boarded the project to round out the cast. The film centers around a team of female spies from around the world who are forced to come together to stop an evil plan....
