The duo star in Claire Denis’ latest romance-thriller “Stars at Noon,” distributed by A24. Qualley plays a young American journalist who is stranded in present-day Nicaragua and falls in love with an enigmatic Englishman (Alwyn) who seems like her best chance of escape. However, she soon realizes that he may be in even greater danger than she is. Danny Ramirez and Benny Safdie also star in the film, premiering in theaters October 14 and debuting on Hulu October 28....

News of the first deals broke on December 16, the day after Sundance revealed its full slate of 72 features. That’s when Bleecker Street announced it has acquired North American rights to Nikole Beckwith’s “Together Together” and Magnolia Pictures revealed it has nabbed Rodney Ascher’s Midnight section pick “A Glitch in the Matrix.” While those two movies come from established filmmakers, over half of the festival lineup comes from first-time feature directors....

After five years in development, “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” finally premieres in theaters May 27. The Belcher family is forced to make a payment to save their restaurant in seven days, and Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) is trying hard to keep it together. Check out the latest trailer below. Of course, a massive sinkhole sinks all hope as kids Louise (Kristen Schaal), Tina (Dan Mintz), and Gene (Eugene Mirman) get into trouble trying to solve a mystery, while Bob’s wife Linda (John Roberts) attempts to cheer everyone up in the midst of mayhem....

A first look at Season 4 introduces two new supes, Firecracker (Valorie Curry) and Sister Sage (Susan Heyward). While the details of their roles are still kept under wraps, their patriotic costumes give some slight hints as to their superpowers, thanks to costume designer Laura Jean Shannon. The Sister Sage moniker has already caused fans to speculate the character has a connection to the Sage Grove Center psychiatric institute shown in Season 2....

Even after fifty episodes (and a few specials), there’s no indication that Andre is running short on ideas on how to confuse, shock, and otherwise unsettle everyone he crosses paths with, be they celebrity guests or hapless New Yorkers during the show’s man on the street segments. Attempting to describe any of the show’s bits in meaningful detail is an exercise in futility and doesn’t do the comedy justice. It’s performance art that needs to be seen to be believed, but for the uninitiated: Imagine “Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis” taken to an illogical extreme and with more physical humor, or imagine if any of the popular late night talk show hosts hated their job and went live in the middle of a week-long amphetamine binge....
