For the first three seasons of the FX hit “Snowfall,” charismatic drug kingpin Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) seemed to have everything under control as he expanded his empire. But Season 4 of the drama found Franklin dealing with a level of chaos he’s never experienced, both from outside forces and within his inner circle, culminating in the ultimate betrayal. A key element in this season was exploring the relationship between Franklin and his father Alton (Kevin Carroll), a former Black Panther who became estranged from his family only to take hesitant steps to reconnect with his son....

Titled “Gen V,” the upcoming Prime Video series is set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes. Of course, like the rest of “The Boys” universe, the school is run by conglomerate Vought International. Per an official synopsis, “Gen V” is an “irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities....

For eagle-eyed viewers, the first trailer for Zoe Lister-Jones’ “The Craft: Legacy” packed one hell of a callback to the original 1996 film: a shot of star Fairuza Balk in character as Nancy Downs, the embattled leader of the teen coven that Andrew Fleming’s cult classic followed. While Nancy’s fate in “The Craft” wasn’t at all a happy one — she’s remanded to a psychiatric ward, her powers stripped after a “binding” by Robin Tunney’s Sarah Bailey — Lister-Jones’ film offers a new future for Nancy that could set the stage for a continuing franchise....

The time-traveling series is based on author William Gibson’s bestselling sci-fi novel, and is adapted for the screen by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, the creators of “Westworld.” The show premieres October 21 on Prime Video. In the vein of “The Matrix” and “Total Recall,” “The Peripheral” introduces viewers to another dimension: but this time, it’s a voyage into the future, not an alternate past. The cast includes Jack Reynor, Gary Carr, Eli Goree, Louis Herthum, JJ Feild, T’Nia Miller, Charlotte Riley, Alexandra Billings, Adelind Horan, Alex Hernandez, Katie Leung, Julian Moore-Cook, Melinda Page Hamilton, Chris Coy, and Austin Rising....

Here’s the synopsis according to FX: “‘The Premise’ is a bold and provocative half-hour anthology of standalone stories about the times we live in. The curated collection of character-driven episodes challenges our shared morality tales, choosing art over argument, as it engages with the most relevant and meaningful issues of the modern era.” The first trailer for the series dropped on Friday and includes several of the A-list actors that will be telling Novak’s various stories....

Here’s the official synopsis from Neon: “‘The Worst Person in the World’ is a modern dramedy about the quest for love and meaning in contemporary Oslo. It chronicles four years in the life of Julie (Reinsve), a young woman who navigates the troubled waters of her love life and struggles to find her career path, leading her to take a realistic look at who she really is.” This looks to be Neon’s next foreign-language awards hopeful, and a likely submission from Norway for the Best International Feature Oscar....
