Allegations against Kawase date back to 2015, with numerous reports of her violently assaulting employees and crew members on various sets. The Hollywood Reporter first reported the accusations stateside. Kawase’s most recent film “Tokyo 2020 Side A” premiered at Cannes and was commissioned for last year’s Summer Olympics. Tokyo-based weekly magazine and scoop factory Shukan Bunshun originally reported in October 2015 that Kawase attacked a staff member at her production company Kumie....

“The Royal Hotel” follows Hanna (Garner) and her best friend Liv (Jessica Henwick) as they backpack throughout Australia. However, after running out of money, Liv convinces Hanna to take a temporary live-in job behind the bar of a pub called The Royal Hotel in a remote Outback mining town. Director Ilya Naishuller loves a little misdirection. Case in point: his sophomore effort, the Bob Odenkirk action vehicle “Nobody,” which ostensibly follows the “Better Call Saul” actor as the eponymous nobody Hutch Mansell as he’s pushed to crazy ends after violent crime invades his suburban life. But with the innovative action minds of Naishuller, writer Derek Kolstad, and super-producers David Leitch and Kelly McCormick behind the project, there’s clearly something else going on here, a nice little surprise for audiences who might think they have the movie figured out....

Each episode features Heidecker and Turkington hosting their own public access show about movies, with the two men reviewing films they clearly haven’t seen (a running gag is that every single film receives a perfect “five bags of popcorn” rating). But the real action begins when the reviews end, as they frequently devote a majority of their airtime to discussing the horrid lives of the two hosts and their coterie of misfit crew members....
