The “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” actor revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the sequel film, in theaters December 21, had “more time and more budget” than its 2019 predecessor in part due to the “untested” waters of focusing on a tween boy who gains superpowers and is transformed into an adult, no spider bite or Krypton origin story included. “The first one was kind of untested. Not a lot of people knew who Shazam was,” Levi explained....

Now that we’ve thrown the worst pandemic of the last century into the mix, the how of seeing a new Christopher Nolan movie starts to get a little complicated, even for him. It starts to feel like less of a joke than a logic puzzle shaded with personal risk, unnerving self-doubt, and a certain moral dubiousness — one that’s compounded if you crow about the experience afterward in a way that might inspire other people to follow suit....

In sheer numbers, it’s the equivalent of McDonald’s closing 153 outlets, or Apple closing maybe three of its stores — items that would generate notice and, depending on the day, a lead business story in the New York Times. In the latest trailer for Season 3 of Prime Video’s “The Boys,” premiering June 3, new supe Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) makes his debut — complete with a bloody murder sequence by plowing his shield into the face of a presumed baddie. Set one year since the events of the critically acclaimed Season 2, “The Boys” kicks off with Homelander (Anthony Starr) completing his apology tour for “falling in love with the wrong woman” — ahem, an ageless Nazi named Klara Risinger, aka Stormfront (Aya Cash), who helped found the sinister Vought conglomerate — and Hughie (Jack Quaid) becoming a senior analyst for the Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs....
