Mega-producer Andy Cohen confirmed March 23 that the iconic reality TV series will be entirely rebooted, with original stars shifting to a spin-off revival series, tentatively dubbed “RHONY: Throwback” or “RHONY: Legacy.” The news has been mounting since Bethenny Frankel exited “RHONY,” followed by the series parting ways with Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer while adding in fresh faces Eboni K. At the risk of evoking a certain Dril tweet, you almost gotta hand it to them for trying; “Bright: Samurai Soul” may be a deeply mediocre riff on a modern fantasy so bad it made “movie magic” feel like a contradiction in terms, but that still makes it a notable step up from its source material. That also makes Kyōhei Ishiguro’s past-tense spinoff a lucid (if unexciting) glimpse at the future to which so many of us have subscribed....
