Per Deadline: “Buckley’s deal is not closed yet but is headed in right direction. Besides directing, Garland penned the script to the untitled project. Scott Rudin, who produced his previous projects, returns as producer…As for Buckley, sources tell Deadline Garland met with talent for the part last year, and the part quickly became one of the sought after parts for some of the town’s rising stars. Buckley would eventually land the role and Garland is now looking to find her co-star....

“Families Like Ours” has been commissioned by Danish broadcaster TV2 and will be supported by Danish Public Service funds. In addition to directing, Vinterberg will co-write the script with Bo Hr. Hansen, co-writer of his first feature “The Biggest Heroes.” According to Variety: Sisse Graum Jørgensen, long a leading figure at Zentropa, will produce the series along with Kasper Dissing. In a Monday article for Intelligencer, one of New York Magazine’s brands, Inanucci wrote about the chaotic few days that followed Trump’s announcement that he had tested positive for the coronavirus. Though much of his article was dedicated to recounting Trump’s actions following the president’s diagnosis — such as staging a motorcade outside his hospital — Iannucci also compared the president and his recent actions to projects such as HBO’s Chernobyl” and Iannucci’s own “The Death of Stalin” film....

Dolph Lundgren took to Instagram to clarify his involvement in a Drago-centric installment in the “Rocky” franchise after a “press leak last week” that led Sylvester Stallone to slam producer Irwin Winkler for “picking clean the bones” of the franchise Stallone founded. MGM was said to be developing a new “Rocky” and “Creed” spin-off centered on Lundgren’s Ivan Drago and his son, played by Florian Munteanu. Lundgren believed Stallone was involved in the “Rocky” spin-off, either as a producer or an actor....
