The “Monster Hunter” franchise, which might be helpful for neophytes to think of as the Pepsi to Pokémon’s Coke, has always stood out for its high fantasy trappings, and boy oh boy does Anderson embrace those in a big way right out of the gate. We open on a hilariously self-important quote about “new worlds” that are hidden “behind the perception of our senses” as Paul Haslinger’s glitch-pop score blares in the background, and that’s an excellent start....

For the second week in a row, Netflix’s “Clickbait” drama series was the most-viewed original streaming television show of the week, per Nielsen’s latest report. The series was viewed for 1,460 million minutes from August 30 to September 5, garnering more than thrice the views of Netflix’s “Money Heist,” which was the second most-viewed title of the week, with 452 million minutes viewed. Per Netflix, “Clickbait” focuses on Nick Brewer (Grenier), a loving father, husband, and brother, who one day suddenly and mysteriously disappears....

Eliza Scarlet’s (Kate Phillips) father was a retired detective who taught his daughter everything about detection. When he dies, Eliza is left needing to find a way to keep a roof over her head, so she decides to carry on in her father’s footsteps and become a private detective. However, the men of Scotland Yard, especially her childhood friend William “The Duke” Wellington (Stuart Martin), see Eliza as little more than a hindrance....

But in Dan Trachtenberg’s clever “Predator” prequel “Prey,” the 25-year-old Midthunder is the lead. The fifth film in the venerable action franchise is set on the Great Plains in the fall of 1719 and follows Midthunder’s Naru as she battles a vicious alien warrior intent on taking her out, as well as her Comanche Nation tribe, a coterie of French fur trappers, and anyone and anything else that gets in his way....

The Alabama politician sued Cohen after his 2018 “Who Is America?” sketch aired on Showtime. The satirical series included Cohen joking about Moore’s multiple sexual assault allegations from then-underage women that were uncovered during his 2017 Senate campaign to fill the seat vacated when Jeff Sessions became U.S. Attorney General. He lost to Democrat Doug Jones. No criminal charges were brought against Moore, who denied any wrongdoing, but that didn’t stop Cohen from making a crack over it....
