That’s pretty bold for a guy who just bought the phone-booth successor to Blockbuster Video, not that the 70-year-old Rouhana sees DVDs as the future of the Chicken Soup empire. Those kiosks are one product among many in his portfolio, which also houses the inspirational book series; Halcyon Studios (fka Sonar Entertainment); ad-supported streamers Chicken Soup For the Soul TV, Crackle, and Popcornflix; and a pet-food line (affordable but quality, Rouhana said)....

Along with a star-studded group of collaborators, including the critic Tobi Haslett, who writes the keen and captivating running commentary, and masterful editor Nels Bangerter, who’s also worked with boundary-pushing documentarians Brett Storey and Kirsten Johnson, Pettengill periodically pokes and prods at this footage, zooming in to the point of pixelation or blurring the edges around figures to interrogate the meaning behind these moments. This unique framework succeeds in turning history on its head, forcing us to question how these violent tactics from the past have led to the increasingly armed present we’re witnessing today....

“I was also extra lucky because I was included in the process of the second movie and I thought that was very generous, but also very smart, because the problem with action films is it’s mostly men who do them,” Hayek said. “And I was heard. Of course there were some things that they were like, ‘Really? Are you sure we should go in this direction? It’s an action comedy, is dealing with menopause something that people are going to find funny or interesting?...

Marvel’s brief synopsis for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” reads: “Following the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ Shang-Chi is drawn into the clandestine Ten Rings organization and is forced to confront the past he thought he left behind.” The movie stars “Kim’s Convenience” star Simu Liu in the title role opposite Awkwafina, Meng’er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Michelle Yeoh, and Wong Kar Wai favorite Tony Leung....

It’s that skill for mayhem and resolution that’s intriguing and a tiny bit frustrating at the same time. Unlike modest restauranteurs or frustrated suburban nuclear families, “Solar Opposites” has a quartet of Shlorpians at its heart. Season 2 continues the trend of these four aliens settling into a comfortable existence despite making no reasonable attempts to fit in (or avoid murdering fellow residents with reckless abandon). After an opening set of episodes that laid the groundwork for how all of them manage to fit in, Season 2 continues by straying as little as possible from that template....

Finally, Netflix released a full trailer April 12 for Season 4, which will roll out on the streamer in two parts: Volume 1 premieres May 27, while Volume 2 premieres July 1. This season will altogether have nine episodes. Plot details remain scarce for what to expect from the next slate of episodes, but “Stranger Things 4” picks up six months after the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins....
